The Possibility of Winning

By editor on February 20, 2018 — 1 min read

I was a little overweight, people called me a Paki… I fucking dealt with that shit for 15 years. I meet these amazing women that talk about how they’ve felt, you know, maligned as they’ve tried to — my other partner is a Pakistani Muslim, what he’s gone through — and I fucking empathize with that. And it gives me energy because it’s like, these are the people that should win. I want to win with them. They should win, you should help them win. And then other people like them will feel better about winning. And that it is possible to win. (37:20)
